FLOSS Manuals was launched by Adam Hyde in 2007 to remedy the deficit of
good free documentation about Free Software. Our strategy since the
beginning has been to develop communities to produce high quality free
manuals about Free Software in their own language. Today, through the
use of Booksprints and federated publishing techniques we have more than
120 books in more than 30 languages and more than 4,000 contributors.

it sounds like a great idea, i wish i could be there with you all, but
i'll be in manchester doing this: http://talesfromthetowpath.net/

for any of you in manchester who are interested in geocaching, zappar
codes, digital storytelling, distributed narrative, etc etc - please
check it out. the story trail runs from 6-19 october & it's free. the
performance is only on the 18th & it doesn't cost very much but as it's
on a canal boat there is very limited seating so you do need to book.

hope the FM warm-up goes well :)

That's bad timing! I only leave the north once a year and it's when you
are in Manchester :(

nice one

I'll be there, just booked my train tickets down from Midlands. I love FLOSS manuals and the work they do. If I was a better kind of human being I'd set time aside to contribute.
