empty blank page on my side .... for the site (and some sound)

I read Egger's Circle this summer and left it where I finished it

was disappointed by the book
all to real, too annoying
when leaving it behind I hoped someone might be triggered by it to
understand "our" world better, but I fear that's false hope
either people already are aware or they just think it's not so very good
written science fiction

Last week though I did incite an Apple store employee to read it - he might
be good reader for it ...

Annie please can you try another browser to see if it makes a difference.

I am in the middle of the book - finding it boring, bland and horrifying
all at once.
I haven't read anything else by Eggers so don't know if the writing
style is deliberately honed to deepen the horror of the story.

I think Meet Z might be in the same vein

I don't know what it stands for. And I think it is deliberate.

I was tempted by The Circle but didn't after reading this -

Wow, nice site. re: http://meetz.thespace.org/

It is chrome only, as too many sites are these days. I think the art
is very beautiful - on a lot of levels - just the makeup is incredibly
well done.

The bridge between the realities of meetz and the circle is not very
long. From a literary perspective both explore very similar themes as
the Matrix did 15 years ago. Eggers is simply putting a fresh face (a
make-over if you will) on the "horrors" that have been public secrets
for far too long.

I agree that both are hard pills to swallow.

I also agree with Annie's assessment: "either people already are aware
or they just think it's not so very good written science fiction"

Btw, I think the artist's intention with the name "meet z" is its
similarity to both "meats" and "meets" and all the horror those words
incite.
